About The Lal Qila
The lal qila takeaway was established in Southport in 1985 by Abul Kashem. He started off as a chef at various restaurants and takeaways nationwide including areas in Scotland, greater Manchester, and Yorkshire, which then inspired him to open his own.
The name Lal Qila was as it represents the famous Lal Qila (the red fort) in India which is visited by tourists worldwide. Many are familiar with the name as it is widely known in the UK and therefore has been able to build a reputation in the town of Southport and is still continuing to do so.
Mr Kashem’s charismatic and flamboyant personality alongside his insatiable appetite for the business has helped him keep the business running continuously. He as well as the staff have been able to build a relationship with the local customers providing them with the best service which allows them to come back for more. The popularity of the takeaway in Southport has been constantly growing over the years and still remains to grow due to the quality and service of it provides.
However Mr Kashem still holds strong bonds with his roots and always helps the local community that have helped him achieve what he is today. He is also taken as a great role model by family and friends due to the success and level of achievement and the business is successfully ran with his family.
